Easy to solve! The GDPR privacy and cookie policy must always be visible and updated. We leave you completely free of charge the templates of each of these legal documents that your website must have updated.
It's important to comply with the policies to avoid scares and fines that cause your project to simply go bankrupt.
How to do?
1. Enter each of the templates, copy the text as indicated on the page (there is a block that tells you to copy from a point and another that tells you to copy above that signal).
2. You paste that information into a text document, you replace all the information you see in bold (or in case you have lost the styles that say things like: your company, your email, yourname, etc.)
3. Go to your website and add a new page, paste that text and save it with the title that refers to the content. For example the page of cookies, copies the text of the cookie template and save it as a cookie page.
4. You add these pages to your footer menu, more commonly known as footer. It is important that this information is always visible.
Improve your website
It is important that you do not lose sight of other factors in relation to your website and security. If you use or manage sensitive documentation of your clients, protect the web against pishing or hackers. In this way you make sure that you will not have a scare in a short time.
Keep the website updated. We get tired of explaining it and asking our clients and how many people cross our paths.
An updated website is more difficult to hack. Besides, if you don't update it, you can enter your website one day and not see everything in order or simply not see more than a blank screen.
And if you see that all this is a mess, download the templates and send us the documents, we will take care of generating the pages.
Now it is not enough to have the cookie template updated, it helps but it is not enough. The AEPD updated its policy on the use of cookies more than a year ago to adapt it to the new guidelines of the European Committee for Data Protection.
In this sense, it is not enough to have the page and a cookie notice. You have to give the user the option to accept, reject, configure and read this policy.
This can be done through a plugin where you can manually set these options.
